History - Offermann GmbH



	Offermann is founded.		The first catalogue for retail is released.



	Suitcases are made out of real leather and the size is adjusted to fit into train compartments and trunks of automobiles.		The development of a variety of business cases becomes important.



	Production is transferred into a new and bigger hall which is still in use today.		The top hat case is an important item.



	1942 the 100th anniversary is celebrated with a special edition of woodcut prints in a leather case.



	The growth of the company requires an increase of production space.		Careful craftsmanship is still the guarantee for the quality of our products.



	The President of the Republic of Germany, Professor Carstens visits the booth at the annual leathergoods fair.		OFFERMANN receives an award from the Japanese Ministry for Industry and Commerce (MITI) for outstanding product design.



	Shops are opened at exclusive locations.		The brand is presented in selected department stores worldwide.



	The new line "Luxury in leather" is created as a line of highest quality and timeless value.
